Baby-wearing

Sometimes when your out and about with your baby, you just can't bring your stroller. For instance I find that when I'm clothing shopping for myself, the stores just don't provide enough room between racks for stroller. Or whenever I have gone to a craft fair there are just too many people and not a lot of room. I figured it was time for me to get a baby sling. I always envied the cool moms who wore their babies all the time. I know how important it is for little ones to feel close to their … [Read more...]

Kids and the way they hear things…

Last night I made homemade chicken pot pie from scratch. As usual the boys kept asking me what was for dinner. After I told them, Rowan had an extremely quizzical look on his cute little face. He then promptly told me that he did not want to eat Chicken pox pie, because he did Not want to get Chicken pox. I think I peed myself a little! … [Read more...]

A day of firsts…

After being holed up in my house for about a year, I decided it was time to reclaim my social life. So Katie and I met up with a friend and headed out on a fun filled journey. My friend Ann and I have decided to throw a huge Halloween party for the kids this year, since Halloween is on a Saturday. We headed to The Christmas tree shop to see what we could find for Spooky decorations and props. While we were in the car, over half way to the store I realized I made 2 rookie mom boo boos (which I … [Read more...]

My two sons

I know I have mentioned my daughter Katherine on my blog a couple of times, but have not written about my sons yet. Ethan, my almost 10 year old is a fantastically kind boy. He was diagnosed with Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not Otherwise Specified, or PDD-NOS when he was six. Basically it means that he has some speech, fine motor and gross motor delays and also a touch of ADD/Hyperactivity. Ethan has been receiving OT and PT as well as Developmental therapy in School since Kindergarten … [Read more...]

Robeez and Naptime

I am in love with Robeez. So much so that I am tempted to write to them and demand that they start making adult shoes too. I love their designs. Right now I'm really into the pumpkin ones for the fall. I covet them!!! The only thing I don't like about them would be the price. I seriously think that $30 for a pair of shoes, that a baby or toddler will grow out of so fast is a tad much. That is why I have taken my quest for said pumpkin robeez to EBay. Unfortunately I keep being over bid. Grr!!! … [Read more...]

Tried and true…

Well this is my first foray into blogging. I have been intrigued with the idea for a while. I'm just not sure I will have anything of importance to say. I think I will start with a product endorsement. My daughter Katie, who just turned one in August is a fairly picky eater. She does enjoy the new Yobaby 3 in 1 meals. Her favorites so far are the pear and green bean and the apple sweet potato. I think the containers themselves are kind of large, but she sucks the whole thing down. She would … [Read more...]
