Since I live in Maine, we don’t have many of the restaurants that many of you do in other states. For example, We don’t have a Popeye’s, Sonic, In and Out or P.F. Changs here in Maine.
That’s why I get a little excited when eateries decide to mainstream and mass market some of their dishes!
P.F.Changs has done just that with their new home menu line. I was given a chance to try the Orange Chicken, and granted I’m sure it tastes so much better at the actual restaurant, I found it quite pleasing.
It was extremely easy to prepare, I chose to microwave it. The chicken itself was delicious. Perfectly cooked in a delightful, if not a tad bit too spicy orange sauce. The added vegetables were tasty and not too mushy. All in all I really liked it and can’t wait to try the other varieties!
Here is some additional information:
The P.F. Chang’s Home Menu line features high-quality ingredients, including Asian vegetables like edamame, water chestnuts, snap peas and bok choy. Each entrée includes chicken, beef or shrimp, with up to 25 percent of total volume in protein. All of the ingredients are prepared according to P.F. Chang’s specifications, to provide consumers with a consistently satisfying meal each time.
“We’re proud to present the new P.F. Chang’s Home Menu inspired by our bold tasting, best-selling recipes,” said Michael Welborn, President, Global Brand Development, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, Inc. “Whether they’re dining at one of our nearly 200 Bistro restaurants nationwide or spending an evening at home, fans of the P.F. Chang’s brand can now enjoy our vibrant, flavorful food whenever the craving strikes.”

Although I did receive the product to review, I was in no other way compensated for this post. All opinions are purely my own.

FYI, there is a Popeye’s in Maine. It’s at the Northbound Kennebunk service plaza. But that’s the only one. Maybe someday we’ll actually get a PF Changs since Cracker Barrel and Chipotle finally built locations here.
