I really love reviewing products, especially ones as good and as fun as Flipflop Wines. Now I am by no means at all a wine expert…not even close really. I just recently started branching out from White Zinfandel and Sangria.
I find that wine can be kind of intimidating. There seems to be a lot of rules and specific protocol concerning each variety. I decided to throw caution to the wind and just have fun, instead of dealing with all that fussiness.
Since one should “never drink alone” I decided that a Girl’s night was in order. After much discussion about how we all needed a night sans kids, we hope to make it a monthly event!
Everybody was super excited to try the wine. I chose the Riesling first, because it’s my current favorite wine. It was so good. Not overly sweet, with hints of peaches and melons. I would definitely drink this again!
The Pinot Noir was next. Everybody loved this one, except me. You have to remember that I have only been drinking White Zin and Sangria in the past so… I think the Pinot Noir is a wine for “adult” palates and mine just hasn’t matured enough yet! Apparently everybody else thought it was absolutely delicious though because it’s the first bottle we emptied.
Last we came to the Pinot Grigio, and I have to say I was a little skeptical because of my Noir experience. I had nothing to fear because the Grigio was fantastic! I found it had a little more bite than the Riesling and I loved it. The Pinot Grigio had a zesty and clean taste and had the perfect amount of sweetness.
All my girls were thrilled with Flipflop Wines and said that with an affordable price of $7.00 a bottle they would most definitely buy it.
Another great reason to buy Flipflop Wines is that they have partnered with Soles4Souls Inc., the international shoe charity dedicated to providing free footwear to those in need. The program will raise much needed funds to give one pair of flip-flop sandals for each bottle of flipflop wine purchased (up to 100,000 pairs for the first 100,000 bottles sold, where promotion is legal.
