Pat The Bunny was my absolute favorite book when I was a child. I can remember my mom reading it to me all the time. I remember the softness of the bunnies fur, the smell of the flowers, and the scratchiness of daddy’s beard!
One of the first things I did when I found I was pregnant with each of my children, was to buy them there very own copy of pat the bunny. I have enjoyed reading this beloved book to my children so much.
I have also found that it makes a wonderful present for all my expectant friends! I always try to tuck it in with a baby shower gift! Reading to children is so good for their developing brains and since pat the bunny is an interactive book, it’s even better!
Considered the original touch-and-feel book, pat the bunny was first introduced to children in 1940. Dorothy Kunhardt incorporated everyday activities like looking into a mirror, smelling flowers and feeling Daddy’s scratchy face to encourage interactivity and sensory stimulation. Today, pat the bunny continues to inspire togetherness and first memories between caregiver and child by introducing baby to new experiences like patting Bunny’s fur or putting a finger through Mummy’s ring.
Pat the bunny is currently available for SRP $9.99, and a deluxe edition of the book with four pages restored from the original 1940 edition is currently available for SRP $14.99.
