A day of firsts…

After being holed up in my house for about a year, I decided it was time to reclaim my social life. So Katie and I met up with a friend and headed out on a fun filled journey. My friend Ann and I have decided to throw a huge Halloween party for the kids this year, since Halloween is on a Saturday. We headed to The Christmas tree shop to see what we could find for Spooky decorations and props. While we were in the car, over half way to the store I realized I made 2 rookie mom boo boos (which I should know better seeing I have more then one kid.) I left the house without Katie’s Binky and since she has yet to master the sippy cup, I also forgot a bottle. She was however in a good mood, so I hoped for the best. She was a perfect angel in the store! We found lots of great Halloween stuff . I also found a product that I have been itching to try, Boogie Wipes. These things are fantastic! I bought the grape scented ones and now Katie does not mind one bit having her nose wiped. After shopping, we were all pretty famished so we decided to go to the Olive Garden for lunch. I had the best Whole wheat pasta with spinach Alfredo and meat balls. Katie chowed down on her first Olive Garden bread stick, a tomato and one of my meat balls. As usual when the check came our waitress gave us the Andes mints. Katie’s face was pure bliss as she had her first taste of what I’m sure will be the beginning of her love affair with chocolate.
