I adopted my cat Bellatrix, two Halloween’s ago from the Greater Androscoggin Animal Shelter here in Maine. She was a devious little kitten and she has turned into quite the mischievous adult cat! In fact for all you Harry Potter fans, she lives up to her name! Bellatrix is a dear member of the family, and just like I strive to feed my kids healthy foods, I do the same for my pets.  Purina Muse® Natural Cat Food sure fits the bill, and Bellatrix absolutely loves it!

With Muse you don’t have to choose between natural nutrition and food that tastes great. Your cat can have both when you choose Muse. Muse is available exclusively at PetSmart and there are a 30 varieties to choose from, so it’s not hard to keep your cat happy and healthy! Wet recipes available in Chowder, in Broth, with Toppers, in Gravy and Paté and they are made with real fish or poultry. Muse is 100% complete and balanced for adult cats, with no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives, and is 100% Grain Free! The big draw to this quality cat food is the taste, my cat licked her plate clean and can’t wait until her next can!  Natural has never been so delicious. Put Muse to the test with our clean plate guarantee.

I’m the leader of my daughters Daisy troop and they were working on their 3 Cheers For Animals journey. In this journey, for their Take Action Project, we decided to make catnip sock toys and donate them to the shelter! This is such a perfect craft for young and old alike. Daisy’s are kindergarten and 1st graders, so they are pretty young. They loved making these and cats adore them! Here are the instructions for Catnip Sock Toys:

You will need:

A bag of Poly-Fil

A bag of catnip

Old socks

(Little bells can also be used, but are optional)

First take a clean sock (this is a great way to use those socks that have lost their mates!). Most socks will work just fine, except ankle and infant socks.

Next, fill the sock with a hand full of Poly-Fil.

Then add a small hand full of catnip.

Finally, tie a knot in the top of the sock, toss on the floor and play with your cat. or donate a huge box of them to your local shelter!

Muse is only available at PetSmart stores. Click here for a coupon!

Treat your cat to some Purina Muse® Natural Cat Food, in fact why don’t you pick up a few extra cans,  make some catnip sock toys and consider making a generous donation to your local shelter!
