Kashi TLC Peanutty Dark Chocolate Granola Bars

I am usually a huge fan of Kashi products. I absolutely adore the Kashi GoLean Crunch cereal and the Kashi Cinnamon Harvest Cereal. They are both delicious! I do however think they missed the boat with their Kashi TLC Peanutty Dark Chocolate Granola Bars.

When I think of a granola bar I think crisp and crunchy not dense and chewy. The Kashi TLC bars had a texture that were more  like a meal replacement bar. I personally did not think the flavor was a that great either. The chocolate kind of had a fake taste and was kind of gluey.

I shared the Kashi TLC Peanutty Dark Chocolate Granola Bars with a group of my Mommy friends, and the general consensus was that Kashi usually does better. However the kids in our group loved them. My sons have been taking them for their school snacks for weeks and Katie likes to munch on them when she gets home from preschool.

I guess we can be happy that the kids like these because unlike a lot of other granola bar choices out there, these contain absolutely no high fructose corn syrup,no artificial flavors or unnatural preservatives. They do however contain 7 grams of whole grains, 4 grams of fiber, and 4 grams of protein from peanuts and soy crisps!

Kashi products are a great healthy substitution for your usual everyday run of the mill sugar laden cereal, granola bar or cereal bar. You can find Kashi products in your local grocery store.

Check out Kashi on Facebook.
