Perfect Geek Gifts for Father’s Day

Perfect Geek Gifts for Father’s Day – Guest Post by Dunya Carter

Father’s day is coming near and we are all thinking of interesting gift ideas to surprise and put a smile on the faces of our loved ones. Crafts and bought gifts are great, but if you are a blogger or a geek you might want to go for a gift that is a bit on the geeky side. The great thing about these gifts is that they don’t cost a penny, but are far more likely to put a smile on your dad’s or hubby’s face. Here are a couple of ideas if you want to make an online gift for your father:

Blog post – A great idea for an online gift to your dad is writing a blog post about how much you appreciate all he has done for you. If a blog post dedicated to your dad is too personal for you, you can also publish a quote from his favourite book in a blog post, or write a blog post related to something he loves and mention him in it.

Banners – you can also make a banner with a personal message for your father and put it on your blog. If you do not use photoshop and similar programs often, there are quite a few online tools that allow you to make a free banner.

Video – if you have a vlog on YouTube, this is a great opportunity to make a new video, but if you’re not that into talking in front of a camera, you can also make a video with some nice images and add a message for your dad in it.

Animated Gift Card – Another great idea is to make an animated gif and either post it on your blog, or send it to your father. They’re sure to love it!

Animated Greeting Card – If making your own banner or gift card is a bit too much for you, there are a lot of sites out there with wonderful father’s day greeting cards. A lot of these websites even allow you to put a personal message in the greeting card or choose a song. Just type “Father’s Day e-cards” into Google and a lot of great websites will be at the tips of your fingers. These greeting cards can also be an inspiration for making your own animated image card.

Have fun making an online gift for Father’s Day!
