Recycle Your Period Pads, Instead Use Poise Thin-Shaped Pads For LBL #RecycleYourPeriodPad

Today, I’m going to write about a potentially embarrassing topic, one which no one really talks about, but many women suffer from, myself include. That topic is Light Bladder Leakage, or LBL for short. After having three kids, me and LBL are unfortunately old friends. Laughing, coughing and sneezing are all potentially embarrassing situations for me, but I have learned to always be prepared with Poise!

Facts about LBL:

-One in three women experience Light Bladder Leakage (LBL) – little leaks that can be triggered by everyday occurrences like coughing, sneezing, laughing and exercise.
-Weak pelvic floor muscles, pregnancy, childbirth and weight gain are just a few LBL contributors.

What causes LBL

Just as no two women are alike, there’s no single reason that LBL happens. Some of the most common things that lead to uninvited leaks include:
•Physical changes from childbirth, pregnancy, hysterectomy or menopause
•Being overweight
•Complications from surgery, stroke, or chronic diseases like diabetes, multiple sclerosis (MS) or Parkinson’s disease
•Bladder or urinary tract infections
•Bladder irritants (certain foods and beverages)

For years now, many woman have been using their period pads for LBL. Period pads are meant for periods only, they are bulky and frankly, down right uncomfortable. Poise thin-shaped pads are designed specifically for light bladder leakage, which makes them a fantastic choice for the 1 in 3 women who experience LBL.  Designed to move with your body, new Poise Thin-Shape pads feature Super Absorbent Material (SAM) and a Thin-Flex design for extraordinary protection that’s still 3x drier than period pads† to help you take care of leaks with confidence.

HOW CAN I BEST MANAGE MY LBL?
Women deserve the best options for managing LBL. Whether you leak a little when you laugh, or sometimes have a sudden urge to go, Poise gives you one less thing to worry about any time of day or night. Our pads and liners are specifically designed for LBL, which makes them an easy choice for the 1 in 3 women with light bladder leaks.

Poise wants you to recycle those period pads into something useful! I like to Poise Recycle by using my period pads for dusting, wiping up spills, and using them between my dishes when they are being packed away! My daughter has other things in mind though and thinks regular period pads make great sleeping bags and pillows for her dolls!

I like the Poise Thin Shaped pads and they really work in helping with light bladder leakage. I got a free sample and think this is a great product and do not use maxi pads for this. That would be uncomfortable!

  6. I never knew there was a name for it! LBL! Love your photo! Barbie looks comfy.
