Craft products…. They may be fun for the kiddos, but with the amount of mess that comes with it, it’s sure not fun for us moms when it comes to clean up! With PomTree craft kits you don’t have to worry about glue spills, or getting tape out of your kiddos hair. These mess free craft kits are a mothers dream!
I recently got to pick out a couple PomTree craft kits to review with my family and I chose the Pom Pals Mommy and Baby Owl kit, the Felt Pillow Puff Kitty & Mouse Kit, and the Pom Jewelry Kit. These kits are so much fun and they are perfect for cold and rainy/snowy days when the kids are stuck inside! They also make wonderful holiday gifts!
Pom Pals: Mommy & Baby Owl Kit • Ages 5+ • $13
She’s cuddly soft, hot pink and oh-so-wise. It’s Mommy Owl. She’s brought along her adorable baby owl to cuddle, comfort and create something special. Kids embellish the faceless fluff balls into sweet wiggly eyed-owls. Add nose, feet, wings, you decide — because you’re wise too. Mommy measures an armful 11.3 x 13.6 inches. Baby sprouts to 2.3 x 3.3 inches.
My Take: I love the fact that it is mess free, however very few of the pieces wanted to stay on, so if this was something your child wanted to actually play with, I would suggest hot gluing the pieces on. This was definitely a project that parents have to help with, as the directions were a little vague. Al in all though, my kids had fun, it only took around 20 minutes and the Owl was adorable!
Felt Pillow Puff™ Kit: Felt Kitty & Mouse Pillow Puff • Ages 5+ • $13
How purr-fect is this? Create a soft kitty to hug without buying the litter box or cat food. This felt pillow needs little fingers to adhere the enclosed tail, cat nose, whiskers and pointy ears. Meow! Kids can make a cute and cuddly pillow pal without needing to sew. All materials have sticky backings that kids can peel away then press into place. There’s even a blue felt mouse to join the chase of an afternoon or evening of fun. When all done, this polyfill stuffed cat measures a purr-fect 7 x 12 inches and arrives with 24 pieces to place in the purr-fect spot.
My take: The felt kitty was really easy to put together. My kiddos had no problems whatsoever and Katie, my 6 year old could also fully participate. The only minor problem we had was that we could not get the backing off the eyes, so I ended up gluing them on. It probably took around 20 minutes from start to finish. So cute!
Pom Jewelry: Pom Jewelry Kit • Ages 5+ • $10
A whopping 400+ pieces spills from this tub of engaging and creative parts. Kids can make bracelets, necklaces, keychains, hair bands, or whatever else their little imaginations can conjure up. This jewelry kit overflows with satin cord, foam charms, felt shapes, pom pom beads and pony beads. There’s enough to make a little sister or favorite classmate a pretty present.
My take: This kit was my favorite. There are endless possibilities with the Pom Jewelry kit. My kids were able to use their imaginations and come up with some great fashion pieces! I really liked Rowan’s Orange Pom Pom ring! Super fun! This kit was pretty self explanatory and was really easy for my kiddos. their is so many pieces in the kit that they can use it over and over again!
All these kits (plus many more that I didn’t show) from PomTree would make a fabulous holiday gift for any child. They are available for purchase at Consumer Crafts!
